Looking Back: The Civil War in Tennessee
To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War (2011-2015), the Tennessee State Museum and the State Library and Archives are sending teams of archivists and conservators to communities across Tennessee. Individuals may schedule an appointment, and we will digitally copy and assist in the preservation of your Civil War era manuscripts, artifacts and photographs. Click here for more information
 

March 2011- State Museum Launches Hands-On History Project for Schools
An educational outreach program which brings hands-on history objects to classrooms across the state kicks off in April with a traveling trunk program designed and implemented by the Tennessee State Museum.
