The Tennessee State Museum is the largest museum devoted to Tennessee life, people, and culture in the state. Led on curriculum based tours by museum educators, students will explore priceless artifacts from famous Tennesseans such as Andrew Jackson and Davy Crockett, and experience a civics lesson first-hand at the historic Tennessee State Capitol building. A day at the Tennessee State Museum and State Capitol provides an experience your students will never forget.  Free tours are provided by museum’s public programs staff on Tuesday through Friday and cover the different aspects of Tennessee history. Most programs last 30 to 45 minutes. Reservations are required for all museum programs. Please complete the “Request a Field Trip” electronic form which can be found by clicking here.
