The Tennessee State Museum hosts a wide range of FREE, fascinating events and educational programs throughout the year. Advance reservations are not required, unless indicated on the listing. For seated events, seats are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Almost 100 years ago, Veterans Day originated as “Armistice Day” on Nov. 11, 1919, marking the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Join us to learn about the history of Tennesseans in military service, send a card to a veteran and hear stories from real Tennessee veterans. Visit the temporary exhibition Tennessee and the Great War: A Centennial Exhibition, an exploration of our state’s role in WWI.
