From Barter to Budget, Financial Literacy in Tennessee
Grades: K-2
The Tennessee State Museum is excited to introduce our newest trunk, From Barter to Budget, Financial Literacy in Tennessee! This trunk is geared toward young learners and will introduce them to the basic idea of money, saving and budgeting. Developed in partnership with the Tennessee Financial Literacy Commission, each lesson will provide you with hands-on activities, games and books that will get your students interacting and thinking about how to participate responsibly to our economy. This trunk will help them answer the questions:
What is bartering?
What is the difference between a want and a need?
How is a good different than a service?
And how can budgeting help me as I shop?
